Home Remedies For Spots

Here I will be testing home remedies for spots just for you, comment and tell me what home remedies you've heard that you wanna try out. For amazing tips and tricks though, search on youtube for Michelle Phan - she is amazing help! But please still come back here! :D

Banana and Honey Mask: I heard of this one from someone who saw it on Ellen except I added the honey as it has healing properties for the skin. All you do is put a little bit of hot water in a bowl, mash up one banana, add a tablespoon of honey and put it on your face.
The mask was very sticky and took forever to get it off expecially the bits that got in my hair! Overall it didn't make much of a difference, although feel free to try it for yourself and maybe leave it on for 5 or 10 minutes longer than me - I didn't leave it on for very long.

Tomato Scrub and then Egg Mask: I got these from Michelle Phan, all you do for the tomato scrub is cut the top of a tomato, hold the stem and cover the bottom in sugar then just rub it against your skin in circular motions. Wait ten minutes then wash the tomato scrub off.
For the egg mask first seperate the egg white from the egg, crack the egg and move the egg yolk from one half of the shell to the other over the bowl until all the egg white is in one bowl then put the egg yolk in another bowl and throw the shell away. Beat the egg white until it gets frothy, clean your face, dab your fingers into the white foam and apply it on your face. Wait until it's dry (you can't smile) and wash off. Then apply a bit of egg yolk on your face, wait until you can't smile then wash it off.
After that Michelle Phan suggests using one of her products but I didn't bother with that - I don't have it - then rub an icecube across your face to tighten your pores.
The tomato scrub was easy to use but when washing off be gentle, otherwise the sugar will hurt you. The scrub did make my skin feel better. When I put the egg white on my face it only took about 5 minutes to dry and the egg yolk only a couple of minutes. My skin felt and looked much better after the egg mask and the ice facial made it feel much better aswell - with the icecube I simply took an icecube straight from the freezer and poured cold water from the tap over it so my fingers stopped sticking to it and it wasn't as freezing, the icecube also helps get any left-over egg off your face. Overall I think this works or if it doesn't it atleast makes your skin feel better and become softer and smoother. And I used the leftover egg and an extra egg for scrambled egg :).

Sugar Facial Scrub and Egg Yolk and Honey Facial: I found the sugar scrub when I was searching on youtube for home remedies for spots, and found a how to video by expertvillage but instead of baby oil which I don't have I am using olive oil which is supposed to be very good for your skin. All you do is get some sugar (how much you need depends how much of the scrub you want) and then add the olive oil (or most oils will work) slowly letting it seep into the sugar until the mixture is slightly more oil than sugar (or you can have more sugar than oil if you want but that might be a little harsh on sensitive skin like mine). Then simply massage in onto your face or body and wash off gently. Make sure your skin has been cleaned before this scrub is used. No need to moisturize after as egg yolk is a natural moisturizer. I found the Egg Yolk and Honey Face Mask just on the tinternet, all you do is blend 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp of honey and 1 tsp of milk or cream together and apply it to your face, leave on for 20 minutes then wash off with warm water and pat dry.
I found the sugar scrub quite nice and exfoliating but the oil felt really greasy and I couldn't get it all off, try and ice facial after the sugar scrub to get all of the oil and sugar off (ice cube with water poured over it rubbed all over your face) I've just made the egg mask it looks a bit wierd... All yellowy-orange... :D But it makes your skin feel good even if there isn't really much of a visible difference. :)

Please comment and tell me what you think!
